GOAL: Experience the effect of voluntary work & charity

Our Canadian branch showed their commitment to charity by walking “The coldest night of the Year” as a team. This winterrific family-friendly walk raises money for people experiencing hurt, hunger and homelessness.

GOAL: Reduce inequalities

Novasol Chemicals has a Diversity & Inclusion policy where we express our belief  that inclusion and diversity foster a positive working climate, since differences in genders ethnicities, beliefs, cultural behaviours and knowledge can create more tolerance, improved wellbeing and an interesting exchange amongst employees if there is an openness from all sides, including and in particular from the employer.

GOAL: Improve education

Implementation of a e-learning platform at global level. As from 03/2021, Novasol Academy is a web-based application accessible to all employees where they can find specific learning modules to develop their competences in soft and hard skills.

GOAL: Encourage employees to grow horizontally and vertically in the group

By implementing a Competence & Improvement plan, Novasol Chemicals supports it employees in their individual professional and personal development, promotes honest feedback and proposes a workforce planning with internal opportunities.

GOAL: Have a gender equality amongst the employees with equal rights

Novasol Chemicals, since its creation in 1997, always strives to find the best colleagues to do the right job and this in the respect of gender, race, origins, religion, location, language. We hire and support the development of our employees in full equality.

SDG 3 – HEALTH & WELL BEING

GOAL: Monitor and improve well being of the employees

We run an internal survey to check how employees feel and developed an action plan based on their feed-back.
We propose relaxation sessions at the office such as chair-massage, Yoga, Pilates, walking session, biking or running session.

GOAL: Care about physical health of the employees

Novasol Chemicals takes concrete initiatives to support the employees in maintaining a good health such as programs described below:

25 Millions steps Challenge

3 months, 49 colleagues, 25 million steps, 3 continents! Novasol Chemicals Team took part in a Steps Challenge “25M Steps to Remember”. The goal was to reach 25 million steps in 3 months. Thanks to the commitment and active participation of our employees across the world, we reached and even overachieved our goal with a total result of 25.712.694 steps!!!

This challenge was aimed at getting our employees more active, particularly in these time of homeworking, and to support Charity Associations. Thanks to our great results, the Management of NC will donate 5.000€ to associations chosen by our employees: Alzheimer Research, Make a Wish and Continuing Care for Palliative Care.

Lease a Bike – Electric Bike project

We are ready to make the difference with our Electric Bike project ! At the Brussels Headquarters, 30% of our colleagues bike to the office and back home! Each km reduces our CO² footprint.
